How We Make It

First we brown the beef cheeks in a hot pan and reserve for later. In the same pan we fry onions until caramelised. We then add the spices and cook for a bit. The aromatic liquids are added next – the red wine, date syrup, apple cider & balsamic vinegars to make a deep rich sauce. The beef cheeks are returned to pan, lid put on and slow cook for 3-4 hours. The dates are added just before the finish and the flavours are balanced. Enjoy the rich favours and tender melt in your mouth meat.

Transfer to a microwave safe dish or to your plate and heat for 3-5 minutes till hot.

Alternatively, you can use the Oven. Remove lid. Cover with foil. Heat in moderate oven (approx. 1800C) for approx. 30 minutes.
